Looking at replacing an older LCX with one of the new Hook 9s. Couple questions though I have heard the GPS has trouble keeping up at speed(internal GPS) and with the built in Navionics mapping, does this include LOTW as I currently have a Navionics North chip.

May sell the chip if it's covered with the mapping that comes with the unit.

Same reason I got rid of my elite 7. Would not load maps fast enough to use while driving. I switched to Birds and run a helix 9 and 859 now and have zero issues. If you want to stay with your Lowrance wiring (assuming you have blue connectors) I'd go HDS for sure! Also not sure about the 9, but my 7 only ran micro sd cards so your chip may not work anyways.

I have 2 Elite 7s but only use them for sonar at console and bow. Good to know. Thanks.
