| Going to Canada in 3 weeks and was thinking of getting new tires 14" any ideas of the best tires to get ? |

I have had Goodyear Marathons, Maxxis, and greenball. All have done well for me for radial tire construction. Load range C.
I have found with any of these brands that 5 - 7 years are common before replacement is needed. All ran well without issue.

Location: Contrarian Island | my next set will be LT (light truck) rated tires... saw a thread a while back on here that said that is the way to go as trailer tires are not rated for over 65mph

Location: Duluth, MN | All trailer tires have different speed ratings. Most are rated for well over 55 mph, and for that matter well over any speed anyone should be trailering at. There are pros and cons to getting radials. Buy the tire that suits the type of use you anticipate. Radials tend to run cooler and have longer tread life. Bias tend to roll straighter and hold up better to sitting for long periods. Keep in mind most people will need to change tires prior to the tread wearing out. |

Location: Cohasset, MN | This is the only place I've found trailer tires with a speed rating greater than 65mph.

| I have been running carlisle st 205/75 R 14 since 2009 and never had a problem just kept them inflated at 50 pounds.and drove 65-70 miles per hour. I just ordered online from e-bay tire buyer a set for $127.48 shipped to my house in 3 days. Pep boys wanted $99.00 each

Location: Duluth, MN | Here's the first place I looked. These are radial trailer tires. If you want to look specifically at bias ply they are not typically speed rated.

| Yes I agree with jtroop,I got 4 taskmaster trailer tires from etrailer,they are D rated load and speed rated to 81 MPH. This is what I wanted over goodyear marathons which is C load rated and 65 MPH speed rated. I have a 620 Ranger so I like the D rated tires because my boat is heavy. I only pull at 65 MPH anyway, but I like the assurance of a better tire. They came within 2 days and so far Im pleased with them. I replaced all 4 of my trailer because of age, 7 years old, didn't want a blowout going down the highway you know. If I were you I make sure everything is shipshape before going to Canada, you want to have good trip not brakedowns to ruin the trip. Good luck in Canada. |

Out of curiosity and admitted ignorance regarding tires, I went to check on what I have on a newly ordered (in 2012) Ranger Z118 2wheel trailer.
Comforting to know Ranger didn't go cheap there given the tires are "Carlisle" Radial Trail RH. #ST215/75R14 "C" load range @ 1870 lbs.
