Guys,
Just wondering what to fish for in this area... I just got 2 weeks worth of work in the area and I'm wondering what I should fish for. Help me out . Salmon ,Trout, Muskie ? Tactics ? Lures, Depths ?
I'll be there the 8th of Aug. for 2 weeks.
Thanks

Personally, I would look into fishing for smallmouths. World class fishery up there.

All of the above. Very good walleye fishing also and BIG pike. Water is VERY clear on that part of the bay so even with smallies use a flouro leader, thin braid and a long rod to get your bait as far out as possible. I'd use finesse plastics this time of year and maybe cranks under prime conditions or trolled. Lot of the locals use leeches, but to me, livebait is totally unnecessary for smallmouth. If it were me, I'd hop on a charter boat for a day or two, but focus the rest of the time on smallies and muskies/pike.
