I live in central pa and fish a lot of smallmouth in conodoguient Creek and seen some huge musky and always has a few chases and interest in some of my bass baits and hooked into one a few days ago but wasn't using the right gear so my question is what are somw good baits and gear for a creek which at most will be 6 feet in summer and the musky holding up in shallow water 3fy or less I really wanna start musky fishing seems like it would be fun

The simple answer is bigger versions of your bass baits and gear. A lot depends on how much you plan to fish for muskies also. A proper net, release tools, and a good hook cutter are a must if you want to land and release them safely. If you want to eat them, don't worry about the last part.

Thank you I mean I should have mentioned I'm wading aa I do this and at one spot they will chase a tube I drag and then just kinda loose interest the other spot where the bigger ones are I've had them even try to eat the fish I caught while reeling them in

The small phantoms work great for me, spring dawgs, small blades, and topwater are all great options

Thanks guys for all your input and as for tackle I've been looking for a kinds general purpose musky rod to handle a variety of baits any good choices mins you I. Wade this entire time and some. Of these musky are pretty large 35" and larger

Spinnerbaits and SS Shads are what I mainly use for shallow River fishing.
