Just finished these up. Hand carved cedar, no router used. Hand painted glass eyes. Haven't named it yet want to make sure it runs first.

Great looking bait, but it seems to me before I would finish a bait like that I would work out the bugs first. But still super great looking bait, I hope they work like you hope.

Tested them out this afternoon. They worked ok with some side to side action, they would come in straight too so i guess there kind of erratic. Have a nice slither on a straight retrieve. Maybe a little more tweaking and a different tail, using phantom tails now but their larger than what i want to use and stiffer. Over all not bad.

I finish all my prototypes like that, i look at it as painting practice. I also do new colors that way, like the crappie one Wanted to try a different approach and it turned out good. And if they do fail then hey at least they look good.
