Posts: 44 | First time posting. Carved by hand from white cedar. Rattle can painted and coated with Devcon 2-ton epoxy. The mini bump board is for ToddM. Posts: 2752 Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Very Nice! I like the teaser tails. Way better than bare rear hook. My good friend "The Beav" a.k.a. Beaver Slivinski ties some wicked teasers for me. I'm just a fumbling fool by comparison when it comes to tying or even lure making. Maybe it has something to do with my essential tremor, I''m very glad he's there for me. Good looking lures! Keep it up.. Have fun! Al

Posts: 260 Location: Almost Heaven | I have used Devcon 30 minute a lot. Do you use a heat gun after you coat your baits? I take a heat gun and hold it back about a foot and lightly go over the bait. I turn the bait as I do this. That makes the epoxy flow and you get a smooth finish. Just some info and what I have tried. Nothing wrong with using spray cans. Sometimes airbrushes can make you want to bang them against the wall. Your baits look good and have fun fishing them. Edited by Turkeyt 1/16/2016 9:51 AM

Posts: 20180 Location: oswego, il | The bump board comment is hilarious! Those look great. Huge eyes too! Let us know how the ones with the very short lip work. Would be interesting to hear. another think you can try is taking a standard length lip and take out about half the angle you have in there now, you would be surprised how well they twitch. I like the body shapes and patterns and can only imagine where you will be tossing lemonhead!

Posts: 44 | Thanks for all of the comments. If there is anything better than catching a muskie it's catching one on a lure you made yourself. The trailer hooks are tied with Kevlar thread and sealed with epoxy. I put them on almost everything including the Glidin Rap shown below. I previously used a heat gun to level the epoxy but now use an old blow dryer I found at a yard sale. It seems to give less concentrated heat. Lots of trial and error in that process - mostly error! I have added some new pictures of topwaters. Posts: 44 | A few more lures: The first is a small flaptail followed by a WTD bait in purple shad. Next is a topwater buzzer. (I have no clue how you guys bend that heavy wire so perfectly.) Finally a lipless crankbait in sexy shad made in two halves and thru-wired.
