I was out last week and saw a few fish too. I caught one 36" on a bucktail in 10' of water. I wasn't sucker fishing.

Turnover should be going on now.
Prior to it, I was out twice. Fishing was good. Suckers were just okay. Lots of pickups and drops. Still did catch a fish on one, though.

No real Need to buy a sucker to catch a musky on Pewaukee. Boated 27 muskie's in my first 8 outings in October on The Pee. Water still plenty warm. Artificials will work, even topwater will work.

Was on the lake Wed 10/21...running fresh treated fuel through both engines. Launched on the west end, drove along the north shore to the middle of east end, then along the south shore line back to the launch. Water temps ranged from 58-59.7. Water was surprisingly clear. FYI

I was out for a while on Friday. Nervous suckers, but that was it. Nothing came in casting. Strong east wind. Water was 55 when I left. I thought turnover should be going on, but the water was clean.

Went out this afternoon, it was 50 at the surface. We didn't raise any and I did not see anyone having any luck either. We were using suckers and throwing a bunch of baits at them. Regardless, it was a great day to be on the water.

Pewaukee bite still good. lake has turned, and surface temps, west end are 52 as of today.

Fish are at all depths right now! Talked to a guy who boated a fish in 4' water on a bucktail. I boated 6 the last 2 afternoon outings. Live bait, Jig and Creatures, have been awesome, along with cranks at dark.

Heard of a 46",47" and a 48+ this past week. Fish R going. looks like a banner fall...Good luck!

Anyone know when they pull the docks at the launches? I would like to head up there but not if I have to launch solo without a dock.

Yes, County launch piers are never pulled. Also, docks by Smokies west are also permanent .

Thank you! I have never fished the lake, and planned to fish the west side this week. A lake I visited south of there had pulled the docks so I had to turn around and fish the Fox Chain which has been brutal on me the last couple months.

you should have some action. My fish have been on the east side of the lake but I haven't spent much time on the west.. Rubber and suckers have been the key for me. Good luck.

Had a very good Sunday afternoon out there. Managed a bonus 20 pound anchor! Water was 42.5 when I finished up Sunday evening. 45 at the surface is the graph is to be trusted.
