Location: Mt. Zion, IL | Dad currently has a 55PD that is 10 years old. When the speed is over 6 the motor reacts very slowly to direction changes. Is the new Terrova as slow or does it react like the 80 lb version. I own an 80 but dads boat would require serious modification to add another battery. He fell in love with my Ipilot unit and wants one if it will react like my 80. |

Location: Ashland WI | I have a 2004 PD. Mine turns much slower in one direction than the other. Doesn't matter the speed.
Why not a 55 lb terrova for your dad? |

Location: Yahara River Chain | It might be the battery, when a high amp draw in going on the steering is slower to react |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | Battery is less than a month old and has 4 awg wires (overkill) to the plug. If the Terrova responds quickly at high thrust, it would be much better for him to fish in the wind. That is my question. |

Location: Oconomowc, WI | I got my terrova 55 in 2010 and I don't have any problems with it turning slow at any speed. The only issue I ocaisionally have is at very high speeds the auto pilot can be a little sketchy. I do have the I-pilot on it as well. |

| I had 2 55# PDs one was kinda slow and one was just as fast as my new 55# Terrova. Responds the same at any speed. |
