There are some Revo Beast reels in a 7.1 gear ratio hat are now available from a few sources. I see that the 7.1 will not be part of the production offerings from Abu Garcia.
I am assuming that this gearing is not as comfortable for big blades as the 6.4
Has any one had any experience with the 7.1 gear ratio?
thanks

That is a bass reel. It has not been determined yet if the 6:4:1 toro beast will be comfortable for big blades. When the tranx hg came out a lot of people thought they could burn big blades comfortably. Some users could but most sold their hg's and bought a pg for big blades.

Toro is the muskie line.. Revo are bass reels, Revo Toro are the muskie reels.

As mentioned the revo Beast is a bass reel, i use it, for small swimjigs, spinnerbait, jerkabits, crankbaits and basically anything small, here in Europe for pike fishing and landed a couple of of 40-43 inch fish with it, and the reel is awesome for small the presentations, but i wouldn't go anything bigger than a DC7en with it.

The revo TORO Beast looks to be great, and i will properly get one when they hit the marked, i used the 50 size old toro, and when i get the new one i will go with the 60, as is find the line capacity on the 50 to be on the low side.
