Just back from trip from 6/27-7/3 on Lake of the Woods and fished the NW Angle area. Water temps from 70-74 in most areas with a couple days slightly below 70. Early in the week we had lots of 30-35" fish on on our "summer" spots. As the week progressed the small fish moved out and the big girls started to show up. Lots of low slow follows on small bucktails and also moved some fish on crankbaits and topwater in the late evenings. Unable to get a couple of the biggies to go...wish we would have had a couple more days!

Weeds not nearly as far along as usual and most of the weeds we did find were garbage and hard to fish through. Ended up with 41, 38.5, 38.5 and a few from 32-35" Also 2 bonus walleyes on muskie baits that were 25" and 28"
