I am heading to Bluff Valley Campground for Saturday and Sunday with some buddies. This is not a fishing trip but we are right on the Zumbro river and I know there are some muskies in those waters. My main question is.....would it be worth bringing my musky rod and venturing down to the riverbank around sunset trying to get something in the net.

The only reason I ask is because my vehicle is already going to be fairly packed with camping gear and other miscellaneous items. Obviously anytime you have a chance to get a line wet and catch a ski its hard to pass up. Just wanting to know if it'll be worth my time. Thanks for the info.

If your like me, i'd say HELL YEAH!!! Catch a nice buzz and hit the banks for a chance at a river ski.

Absolutely bring the rod and a couple baits. I caught my 4th shore ski of the season this morning.
