I have a Curado 300 ej that has a bent handle and I was wondering if I should just bite the bullet and buy a new one or can I just bend it back? I guess I probably should at least attempt it and if it doesn't work but the new handle.

Anyone else had this issue before and what did you do to bend it back?

Thanks!

Did that work for you? How did you go about doing it?

Pliers and vise. Seems to be pretty straight now.

I put mine on the flat part of the vice and tapped it back into shape with a small ball peen hammer. It worked fine, but I ordered a new one to keep as a spare because I figure it will likely bend again.

I bought mine off a buddy that sold me the reel for $100. Knowing the reel handle is $60 I figured it was a good deal.

Did your buddy mention how he bent it? I would a little leery about buying a real that been damaged by dropping it hard enough to bend the handle. Might also damaged some internal parts when hit on the end of the shaft.

Yeah...he said it was jammed in a compartment and it happened. I casted it like 10 times and it was very smooth with that being the only issue.
