Has anyone here tried a "copy carver" for Muskie baits? I was going to rig up a router table but I ran across the copy carver and am curious if it would be worthwhile. I originally planned on making a mold and using casting resin but this looks like too much fun to pass up. Any input would be appreciated- thanks!

I looked into them. They are nice but I ended up buying a cnc router. The resolution is far better than a copy router. It will carve gills ,eyes, scales quite well.
look into a cnc lathe. about the same price as a good copy carver. The software does get pricey though.
Pic is a bee carved into MDF on my cnc. Im new to this and it has a steep learning curve.

I like the options you've suggested but they are way out of my price range for now. From the little bit of research I've done it seems like I can make the copy carver for $100-200 using some stuff I already have. Maybe one day....
