Thats a nice looking bait too. I may have to get one for fall fishing. Looks like a killer slow rolling bait.

As far as a reel is concerned. How much can or are you planning on spending?

Plenty of options available with that budget; And plenty of information here in the archives. Use the search tool in the upper right. You'll find a wealth of beneficial information from previous threads and will be able to narrow down exactly what you are looking for.

did that but unfortunatly the reels that often get recommended for this kinde of fishing (saltist, tranx, Torium) dont have a left retrive option
the 4 reels i am considering now are the revo toro nacl 61, the c3 6501, the okuma Isis 400 lx and the c 7000.
Probleme is now that for the first three there seems to be some mixed opinions about using them for casting big plastics and i'm not sure about the C 7000 because it is made in china
any help would be appreciated

Not sure if Abu Garcia makes them anymore, but I have 2 RCN61 (lefty) Record reels that I bought specifically for casting big rubber and they have held up very well. I see some listed on ebay and is the Abu Garcia Record listed with other model numbers, but you might give that a try. Good luck!

The 7001i china made isnt that bad, and can be found cheap. Im very happy with mine, of course its not the same as a tranx, but its a great reel for BIG rubber

Not sure if they make the NACL 61 in the High Speed version but the 5.4 version is also a great option, can be used for many different presentation and holds up to muskie fishing quite well. All my combos are setup with the corresponding NACL that fits the presentation application.

7000(1)i - very underutilized. Poor mans Tranx. I have a couple and get lots of use out of them. You will have some maintenance replacements as you go but parts are cheap and and easy and readily available.

A 7000 on a Okuma or TI 9'er is a very good setup on a budget.
