Thinkin i might try this stretch of the WI River in a couple of weeks, however i haven't been able to find much info for boat launches. Would anyone on here have any such information? Thanks in advance.

What kind of truck and boat would you use? That may make a big difference

Are you doing a "float" with two vehicles.... or just using one launch and motoring back and forth?

Best way to learn it is to launch right downtown Merrill at the park and float the entire stretch down to Brokaw (Mill Wood Yard). Need 2 vehicles for this... but then you know what the entire float has to offer for future trips.

If only using one launch site... I'd recommend using the Brokaw Wood Yard and going upstream as far as you can/desire.

There are a few other places you can drag a boat in/out along the way... but they really aren't worth the effort in my opinion.

Kind of thinkin i might motor thru most of it, marking interesting looking spots, then going back and fishing those spots. That is what i have done in the past on other river systems that i have not been on before. I can hit about 30mph with the go-devil in about 3 inches of water which allows me to scout quite a bit of liquid. Lookin forward to this one, thanks everyone so far, keep 'em comin if ya want.

Two vehicle float sounds like a hassle but it's probably the easiest and safest

If you can go 30 MPH in 3 inches of water... you have the ideal rig for fishing this stretch of river. You can easily get through the riffles that prevent most boats from traveling back upstream. This time of year... don't overlook the fast current areas with only 1-3 feet of water. Any little depression in those chutes can hold some nice fish.
