| My 200 opti has hydraulic steering, and it is very tough to steer to the left especially under higher speeds. To the right is fine. Is this a trim issue? |

| I think if it's a trim issue, it would be about the same effort, right or left, unless you are trimming at all. You should not have a trim tab on that motor, but if you do, try adjusting it, but then replace it with a blank. |

Location: St.John, Indiana | I have the same issue on my 200 opti. Have only had it out a few times since I bought it and tried it in different trim levels but still the same . Checking the fluid level was my next step. But why wouldn't it be hard turning right? There is no trim tab .

| Prop torque was my next guess. Mine is a 4 blade stainless. My last 200 opti had a 3 blade aluminum and I didn't have an issue, however it was not hydraulic steering either. Would I be better off going to a 3 blade aluminum?

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | And Shep is right, trim the boat up more, until it feels a bit 'loose'. As long as the boat is up on plane, you can trim to ease steering torque. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Trim the engine up as you power up. The boat should 'rock' easily right and left when trimmed properly.
High performance hull; it's designed to run trimmed up quite a bit. Hit the throttle, trimming it up until it feels a little loose. Trim it down most of the way and you are going to have some prop torque which the power steering will handle, but you can 'feel' the steering torque. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | That also can be an issue, the engine needs to be at least one hole up and likes two holes up with a Revolution 4. Trim is your friend. Use it! |

| Pretty common complaint on bass boats, advice given is usually engine height. I certainly have no basis to question above advice, just paying attention as I have steering torque on my boat as well. (Different hull)
If its height related does it typically involve raising or lowering engine? Or could it be either?

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Engine height, correct prop for how you want to use the boat, and trimming it up sufficiently. Torque can also be caused by dragging the cavitation plate a bit. usual fix is using the trim more and if the engine is dragging a bunch of lower unit when trimmed, get it up a hole and see if that helps. |

| Would a three blade prop provide less torque? Would I be ok running one? Speed is not a need for me as I am not fishing tourneys |

The Rev 4 lifts the hull quickly if you allow it to, and that's what you need. if you are ever near Rhinelander when I am in the office, bring it by and I'll take you out for a ride. That usually pretty much stuns folks not used to running a high performance hull and will help you a ton. |

Location: St.John, Indiana | I agree with the Rev 4 . It lifts the boat immediately , and I am at 35mph almost instantly. My motor is in the second hole up . Thought I was trimming it up enough , but maybe not. Was told to start out trimmed all the way down then trim up to it feels smooth. Coming from a lighter aluminum boat just have to get a feel for it. Not going back as this boat is SWEEET!
