If you could pick 3 waters for qualifiers and the perfect championship water, where would you choose for your one PMTT season??... I should mention, that I wish we could include one canadian water some year, but my list will exclude this.

Here is one of mine dream seasons:

1) Cave Run: March prespawn
2) Manitowish Chain: mid June
3) LSC: mid august
4) Championship Green Bay: early october

Lets hear them!

The perfect schedule for me is sticking with the program, and holding it on 4 lakes that I normally don't frequent.

Perfect:
April - Cave Run
June - Eagle River
August - LSC / Green Bay alternating years
Sept - 4 day Championship on Eagle Lake / LOTW alternating years. PMTT works a deal that all qualifiers with DUIs get a temporary pardon from the Canadian gov't for the tourney. Judge boat for every entrant would be needed.
Realistic: April - Cave ; June - ER ; August - LSC ; Sept - GB

An interesting question. Move the tourney around geographically, provide for different settings. Include the south, flowages, open water and old school traditional waters

Cave Run
Eagle River
LSC
Leech Lake

First full weekend each month

Feb: Melton Hill TN
March: Pomme De Terre MO
April: Cave run KY
May: Fox Chain IL
June: apostles islands WI
July: Leech lake MN
August: Green Bay WI
Sept: Lake ST Clair MI
Oct: Eagle River WI

Championship
Nov: Lake vermilion MN

Is it to much to dream of a ten month season?

It's in the Hayward area but not known for big fish. Considered to be an action lake.

Would make for interesting tournament results.

I have honestly never heard of muskies being caught around the islands. With all the trolling that goes on, it seems like a catch or two would occur if they were there.

Lumpy & Southern Comfort have realistic and attractive line ups. Long Time & Happy Hooker have the kernel of a good idea growing.
CAVE RUN & EAGLE RIVER are hard to beat at their current position because they draw so well. I'm a BIG FAN of mixing Canadian Fisheries into the PMTT Schedule and think CAN/AM when I think MUSKIES. This is a North American treasure. .. the "Monarch of Freshwater".. and I really wish we had a MORE International mix of waters AND competitors. Would really like to fish with and compete against some of those great Esox anglers who call Canada home.

I fish the Cave leg every year and really enjoy it. Unfortunately, I cannot fish the other parts of the trail due to their distance from the east (I am a New Yorker). While I would love to see the PMTT back at Chautauqua, I would be happy to see something just a little closer to home (OH, PA, NY).
