I know once the ice leaves our lakes here in northern PA we can fish Muskies year round. I also read where guys fish shallow water with rattle baits and connect with muskies at this time. Is there a water temperature that one can use to coincide with this early bite? Or how quickly after ice out does it occur?

Some of our best early season trips have been as soon as the ice is off...water temps still in the 30's. Just like any other time of the year stable weather is best. Good luck!
