Over the years I have been building mostly buck tails. Now have upwards of a hundred and found many different blades. For the most part though I see a very small selection of blade sellers it feels. I've use many from Rollie and Helens, lure parts online, newly started Sanchez (met at the Milwaukee expo 2015), and Thornebros. I am wondering if there's any I haven't experienced or some smaller company's with good products because you can only order the same blade so much and like most builders know building them is an addiction. Is there anything new or different out in terms of color or style or even just other companies?

Thanks!

Hagens sells magnum sized Indiana blades. They just came out with a super sized one lime a 13 and have made a thick version of them as well. Lots of custom reflective finished.

One company that you haven't mentioned is Moore's Lures. I can't say enough about these good folks and their willingness to help a builder. Good prices and good selection.
Contact: Dick Moore at [email protected] or tel: 715-356-6834. He also has a website.

Lakeland Inc. has a good selection & they can do custom blades as well. They are also the place that Moore's buys their blades from. You don't have to buy the minimum order amount either. Some guys think they only sell large quantities & that's not the case.

I have ordered from mudhole before, not the greatest selection when it comes to larger blades. Moores is one I will probably end up using but with Moore's and Lakeland, is the ship time good? or customer service? I completely forgot hagens even existed, used them a while back but might now that they have new products.

I make a lot of bucktails and I spend a lot of time scouring the web for different types of blades. I LOVE finding new blades. A couple of the places I've used that are a little more obscure are e-bait.com and a favorite is Dutch Fork Custom Lures for a totally different look and feel. http://www.dutchforkcustomlures.com/ Another thing that is fun and successful is to scour e-bay. I have a daily alert for spinner blades. I like buying those 5 lb. boxes of old blades with all different kinds and sizes. I've gotten a number of them that are out of production now. They're like a treasure chest to me. I've got a couple more places and a couple blade artists that I have bought from who have some really unique stuff. PM me and I'll look for a few more contacts.
