I have a Stabil mount on my hds 10 at the bow.. love it.. will NOT budge.. had Ram mounts up there and in the rough stuff they always bounce loose..another one to look into is this one

... but I love my Stabil!

Just went through this for my HDS 8's.

I am going with the Stabil-Mounts as I want to avoid any problems long term that I tend to see with the Ram version's.

I spoke with Jim the owner just yesterday regarding ordering, nice guy.

I have a question for you guys who recommend the Cisco mounts. Are you able to easily remove your electronics using this mount? I'm just wondering since I keep my boat outside and would like to remove the electronics.

Thanks,

Mike

I am using a 18" piece of track to slide my electronics mount into. It is very easy to remove the entire unit including the mount...just two thumb screws. I run a tiller so might not work so great in a console boat, IDK. I got the idea from the Backtroller boats website. It's slick! I think you can use the included mounting plate to do a similar quick release though. I'm very impressed with the quality of these mounts.
