I've never made baits before and since I took a PB fish last season on a Suick I decided to make one or two. That turned out to be 4!! *G*

Two are Butturnut and on the larger side, 10" ers. Two are smaller 9" ers and one is Hard Maple the other is Black Cherry.

I figure the two Butternut guys will do best because of the lesser Spec. Gravity of the wood, being lighter but that;s fine, it'll be fun to see. Plus I don't have to weight them...

Also left them unfinished, bare wood b/c I personally don't think it makes diddly difference...unless they're black! *G* That's just me. That and I have friends who say their older baits with the paint worn off seem to work the best. We'll see.

I'll report back at the end of the season after they be do a bit of Metro duty and a lot of Vermilion swimmin'!!

Jeremy.

I'd say you have an excellent start Jeremy. Those are looking really good. I see that you are using a flicker spinner on the tail. Nice touch. Those have worked well for me too.
