Posts: 791 Location: WI | No pun intended?! Not sure. Here's one of my Lil Beaver top waters done for a buddies girlfriend in a pink ladybug of sorts. I sprayed a base of high flake silver. Then a diluted red flake nail polish lightly over that giving it a cool deep irredecent pink color. Then black over pink dots. And a coat of candy pink over the bill with black fading. Pretty cool for gaudy pink in my opinion. Edited by Trophyseeker50 7/5/2014 8:15 PM Attachments ---------------- image.jpg (95KB - 194 downloads) image.jpg (88KB - 179 downloads)

Posts: 2006 | Nice bait and catchy name! Ha! I was looking for the thread of the best names for baits the other day and couldn't find it. This one would fit right in on that thread, wherever it went to.

Posts: 791 Location: WI | Thanks guys. I was a bit suprised that I didn't get any response when I posted it in July. I have made about 500 of these lil beavers and this was the first pink one. Come on ... Pink lil beaver! Lol

That "pink beaver" would compliment my " big johnson" topwater nicely! I'd post a pic. but my pun is intended and not suitable for the general audience.

Posts: 2237 Location: SE, WI. | Andy, think some Headbanger action would fit perfect With the lit'l Pink Beav:)
Have you tried a small Paddle tail on the back of one of your beavers??? Might slap the water, and give more sound, or maybe more action to the bait? The twister may suppress some of the swivel action of the body. Of course, that may be a good thing for hookups.

Posts: 791 Location: WI | Lol. Good stuff. As. For the tail I. Think that is part of what makes this thing work. Think. About any small animal with a tail swimming. I have been making it since 2004 and the people who use that have had quite good success. Last year my fishing partner's largest fish came on this bait. And one other guy I know has almost 30 fish on one of the ones he owns. I have repainted it and now she just sprays it with black spray paint when it needs a touch up. He won't let me touch it anymore for fear I screwed up somehow. LOL I think a flap tail would be interesting though

Posts: 791 Location: WI | Relatively slow. Medium slow I would say. I tend to use it in calm first and last light conditions. And rain for some reason. That being said my buddies personal best came last year in 3 footers right after I suggested he use something else. Fish hit it 3 times. What do I know anyway.....
