This boat is a head scratcher. It's an inch shy of 18' and has a 96" beam yet it's max HP is just 125? Except nobody makes a 125 so your only option is a 115.

For trolling, maybe the mounts and the 115hp make the Impact preferable, but this boat begs for a 150. Personally, I'd look at comparable options from Alumacraft, Crestliner, or G3 before buying the Lund.


I spent a long time researching this head scratcher. And you are correct - it's rated for a max HP of 125, which you can't find. Numerous other manufactures making boats in this class are also 125 HP. Except for Alumacraft... I think they are the only one. You can put a 150 on an Alumacraft Competitor 175 (which is nearly identical in beam and length to a Lund Impact 1775 and numerous other equivalents.)

My Lund runs 42ish with the 115 and trolls just fine so no complaints here.
