Took my friend up to Lake of the Clouds last Friday, in had to be very close to peak.  He lives in the foothills of the mountains in Idaho, very nice country but almost all conifers.  He was impressed by all the maples and color.  But being a logger,  he also thought it was a shame all those great trees were off limits in the Porkies ;>).  He had never seen the great lakes before, Superior got his attention.[/QUOTE]

The boat was built in Winchester, Willies shop was about half a mile west of the end of Cheney Lake Rd on Cty W. Willi ended up selling the business and it moved over to Presque Isle for a few years then the eventually went went under, not sure what happened but it was sad to see.
