I would say it isn't a problem. All sonar units will do this if the bottom is hard enough and sensitivity is turned up high enough. It's sort of just one tool in reading sonar to tell how hard bottom is.

But if you don't want to see it adjusting the max depth range will make the 2nd reading go away.


If I am sitting in one spot, it is not a problem to adjust the max range to make the reading go away.

Where it gets annoying is when I am fishing in areas where my depth is changing a lot.
