You'll get better charging rates (times) with a dual bank. Opt for a dual bank charger with a 5 or 10 amp per bank charge. With a single bank charger, it will take much longer to charge two batteries and will push you into a charger with 15 amps for the single bank, a move that will compromise battery life span.

As mentioned, a dual will also allow for future flexibility in a 24V setup, too.
