I have a Starcraft Superfisherman 17 foot 8 inches x 100 inches wide deep V . My main motor is a 115 Suzuki and my kicker is a 2017 20 HP Suzuki 4 stroke. With Suzuki the 9.9, 15, and 20 HP are basicly the same motor and weigh the same but for some strange reason you can't get remote controls on the 15. I hooked mine up so I can run it off the main tank or off a small portable tank. With the 2.5 gal tank I have gas left after 2 full days of trolling.
My buddy ha a 18 foot Lund fisherman and his 9.9 dosen't cut it for muskie trolling in windy conditions and he is forced to troll on his main motor. It's fine for walleye or salmon.
