You'll need an Ethernet cable to link them and 2 dongles. Bird decided to make money off the connectors on the helix units. Ethernet cable comes in different lengths. I have a helix 10g2n linked to an 1198. Only needed a dongle for the helix.

If you want DI you will have to put a DI ducer on the TM. The universal will only give you 2D sonar. Is one going to be SI? Or just a 2D and a DI? I think you can share the DI from one to the other but would need to double check on the website with the models.

Can't help on the radar. I would guess you will really like the LakeMaster chips and the depth shading.
