yes the 10 does come with the better xducer. Another thing to consider is that the unit size of the 9 and 10 is the same, only the display sizes are different. This means that there is about an inch of blank screen surrounding the display on the 9. I bought a 9 because I saved a couple hundred $$, but in hind sight I would have bought the 10.


I just spoke to a retailer and they say the 9 MEGA comes with the best transducer already. In my mind the 9 is a hair too big. Can't rely too much on a graph anyway. Gotta use some instinct as well :)


Ahhh yeah that makes sense on the MEGA. I know the Gen1 helix 10's had the upgraded transducer from the 9
