I have an 1998 R93 Ranger and tank is toward the rear in it..not sure if this is similiar to what you are talking about but great boat so far...Will do low 60s on GPS with full tank and 2 guys full gear which is too much IMO...50mph on the water is plenty if you ask me and its amazing how well this boat handles rough water and just gets on a plane right now...Think I get some help there due to the 4 blade stainless prop seems to just grab hard and your out like a Fat kid in dodge ball
