Hiya,

Had a buddy of mine who owned a 1750 with a 115 four stroke on it just like the one you are looking at...it was a dog coming out of the hole... I worked with him on prop selection and nothing we tried could get that boat up and moving well. It did the job, but I felt the motor overall was way underpowered for the boat.

If memory serves me correctly, those were rated to 125 at one point and am not sure if that has changed.

Fishing out of the boat was nice, though...roomy and with a 70 pound thrust motor on the front, you should be fine. Get in really windy conditions and decent waves, though and a kicker to assist is not a bad idea if traveling into the wind...
