My first boat was a 1775 impact. The guy I bought it from completely took out the rod tubes by just unscrewing the panel around them. They're all connected and they slide out easy. I believe I could fit 1 or 2 8'6" trolling rods by laying them in so they curve with the bow of the boat. Stiffer Muskie rods, if I recall, didn't fit like the limber trolling rods. I also could fit 8'6" rods in the side locker.

Great boat for small/medium bodies of water. Tons of fishing room

What's the secret to getting 8'6" rods to fit? Or are the lockers smaller now days? My side lockers (2017 Impact 1775) fit an 8' and thats it. There's only about an inch of wiggle room left. No chance an 8'6" will make it in there.

Thanks
