I have fished in Tim Pizzi's ZV. Impressive ride, very nicely appointed with excellent fit and finish, and tough as nails. All fr way less than comparable 18' Deep V models from other builders. I agree with Will on this one. Didn't notice any rod rail issues, this one is a 16, I think.

The Ranger won't just be 'a little' more in price, the difference is considerable. Great boats, Rangers are, but according to what you said in your second post, I think you would be delighted with the Nitro. VERY good ride and value in an 18' boat.
