Blew up my 03 Yamaha F90 due to operator stupidity...please don't ask for the story.

Anywho, I've got estimates to rebuild for $5600 with a new powerhead or $3500 with a remanned powerhead.

There's part of me that says part out my current motor - should be able to get close to $2k out of it - and then go buy a bit newer motor. Keep in mind, my boat has be a "tweener" boat getting me from my last boat that I had to sell through until I buy the boat I truly want in a year or two. So I really don't want to put tons of money into this boat. But I'm stuck. What to do?

Looking for used motors is not easy. Suggestions there would be helpful, too.
