I would go with an older Tuffy esox mag (newest you can afford). Mine with another guy and gear with an 88 40hp evinrude goes 27 as well. Great boat, stable, comfy to fish...I would research when they started getting composite transoms though. Buying an older boat with a wood transom can be like opening Pandora's box.
