Location: Hayward, WI		What brand charger do you have? On my Minn Kota charger, the red light means the battery is dead, and the charger will not charge it. If they are dead, I'd have to use a portable charger to put some charge on them before the onboard charger would take over.

Or, have you tested the charge of the battery? The trolling motor indicator might not be working properly.
