Location: MN		I asked the same question on here last year and was encouraged to buy the Terrova which I did. After using it for a year I would say you definitely want the foot pedal if you musky fish. There are tons of times when you use the foot pedal to adjust mid-cast. I didn't use my remote too often last season.

I suppose if you knew you would always be following a contour line or a track you could get by without it but that would not be ideal on most pieces of water.
