The foot pedal is important to me even though I have the remote. Remote battery can die. Foot pedal plugged in responds faster than waking up the remote and taking action. It's nice to not fumble for the remote. I do use the remote a lot. But I use the foot pedal a lot too. One extra tool to have I suppose.
