I don't think you really want to go cheap when it comes to marine-grade wiring. Seems like a potential recipe for disaster--at least in terms of having to chase down never-ending electrical gremlins down the road. What's your time worth in that sense? Say a "cheap" alternative costs $37.50. So you can save 50%, but if it results in having to spend a bunch of time hunting down weird behavior in a year or so, was that savings worth it?
