The hull of the 186/180 is not the same as the 1850/1860. It's not a true deep V and more of a bass style hull. Will it handle big water? Probably. But won't be much fun if it's rough. Mine (1850) handles the rough stuff well, but I wouldn't think the 186/180 are in the same class.
