Go to WalleyeFirst and ask some of the Mississipppi river rats for a recommendation. As ToddM said wider is better. Flats can be a rough ride, so a modified V front, wide flat is probably what you want - 16-17' is good for two people.....

If I were looking for a Jon boat, it would be this one -> hybrid 62"

BTW - Todd, I have fished muskies out of a 10' x 41" flat - now that was tippy, especially on hooksets.
