| I've worked on these sort of problems for several fishing buddies. First, check your power supply line for any loose or corroded connections. Also, if any exposed stranded copper near any connections are turning green/brown from oxidation, cut the wire back till you get to fresh shiny copper. If no problems there, check the voltage at the trolling motor connection to make sure you're getting full power to the TM. If no problems there, it could be several things in the internals of the TM. If the TM has been used a good amount, the brushes in the TM electric motor may be getting worn. You can replace the motor, but if that's the problem it may be more beneficial to just replace the unit. | |
