Subject: jon boat floor coating

I'm looking to put a floor in my little jon boat. Was thinking treated 3/8" ply, but I might just go with regular plywood and some type of coating instead of carpet. I've seen some things advertised, and was just wondering if anyone had experience with any of the marine floor coatings. I see one company has a clear option, which would be cool, so the kids could put some artwork on the board before coating...

Also going to paint it, and want to do it quick and dirty. Its already painted, so not bare metal. Brand of paint suggested?(Cabelas has parker camo paint for boats at like 8.00 per can).
