Honker is right on the money with his advise. I would go with the opti if your a runandgunner type of fisherman. The Opti will blow the Yammies doors off out of the hole and the fuel consumption is as good as the Yamaha's. Now, I'm a Yamaha guy from the word go. So my opinion is going to be very very bias. Yamaha makes the best motor anything I've owned. I like my 115 4stroke. Its as dependable as the sun coming up in the east. I like its performance (although the Optimax is quicker and fuel economy is as good or better). The Yamaha is quiet and smoke free. Trolling with the Yamaha is excellant. So to sum it up. Ethier one will do the job. You need to decide what kind of characteristics your engine should have.
