Location: Walker, MN		If it's a newer Garmin doesn't it have a quick disconnect? Do you need a ram mount?

I'm just asking because I've had issues with ram mounts slipping, resulting in an out of position graph. I wouldn't down-size. On my current boat I just mounted the factory Garmin U brackets and couldn't be happier.
