Location: Cedarburg, WI.		That spring has since been replaced with a bungee. The general idea is keep tension on the transducer cable to hold it taunt while allowing some give with the bungee.

Also not trying to hijack this thread, I have the exact same issue as the OP. I just made it worse with added transducer cable. Sucks not being able to tie wrap the cable to the trolling motor shaft.
