Get what you can afford with the features you want most. My first boat was a Crestliner 1750 SC fishhawk. Sold it because of newborns and needing to buy a bigger house. Got back into fishing alot more kids are older and like to go fishing now. Got a Princecraft nanook 168 w/mercury pro xs 115. Got it in the winter last boat in stock new models were coming out blah blah. 22,000 plus tax OTD. needless to say im very happy with the boat. I had to drive a few of hours to get it.
