I recently purchased a 2006 Tuffy 1890 that has never seen the water. I have a guy installing a 2010 150 Mercury Optimax with a 25" shaft on it. He said that when he puts it on the anti cavitation plate is 5-6" above the bottom of the hull and that I need a 30" transom. Any thoughts?
