| You can use alot of 6 to 8 foot divers and give them little taps down at the beginning of the cast then rip up with your rod the rest of the way till it gets next to the boat. I do this alot with twitch baits. I also love the wades wobler in shallow water, very buoyant lure. |

| Ridgway Customs are big, thick-bodies cranks that dive shallow. They move a lot of water, and they are great! 8-10 inch versions are most popular. |

| Ridgway is busy preparing baits for the Wausau show. He is a one-man operation, so the focus is preparing inventory for that show at the moment. | 10" Jake, 9" Grandma jerk lip, 10" Slammer, 9" Bucher and if your in a spot with lots of rocks 10" Believer (shallow setting)
And with all these nice big baits, all I've caught are smaller fish. Cranes have great action, but being made of balsa sometimes your left with a lure full of teeth. The 6" Slammer is one you don't have to change the hook arrangement for three to two.
I am a fan of taking Ernie or a 10" Slammer deep Minnow, Believer, (deep setting) or Depth Raider reeling down to depth then jerking. Do this and the size of the fish goes up. |

| I would avoid crane baits by all cost. Weak hooks and split ring and the lip will break off by looking at it. Go with a slammer. Great wobble and geared towards lasting. Also big fork twitch darter is awesome for that range. The sand cat is great too. Maybe a bit off of a twitch bait but it’s a twitch and dive and rise. Almost like a suick with great wobble and roll. |

Are both really good ones. The MX9 is cedar and has great action on the twitch or pull.

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota | 10” slammer is my go to if I’m trying to keep it shallow, with the stock hooks it is super buoyant real easy to get through weeds. If I’m trying to fish slower or deeper than the Livingston squeaky peat is an incredible bait. It is pretty much a copy of the grandma m9 but I’ve fished them both back to back and I think the Livingston is a better twitching bait. Those two cover 90% of the crankbait fishing I do but another good big option is the big shallow invader. That bait has a great twitch but definitely throw it in a rubber rod because it takes a lot of effort to get it to dance |

| On the 5" Cranes I beef up the spit rings and put on two larger hooks then (leave the middle hook off) then dispose them in a gullet of a Muskie or a good sized Pike. And keep the in bedded teeth for a keep sake. |
