Location: Rochester, New York | Im switching to Cashion Rods for spinning rods and was wondering what model saltwater rod i should get to replace my current musky rod which is a heavy power spinning rod gx2 ugly stik with 100lb braid

Never used a baitcaster or have one , from experience with a spincast reel its a lot easier to control fish and get more power from the rod, coordination struggles and probably a few more that if i took the time to think about it |

Location: NW WI | I get it, baitcasters can be a little intimidating if your not familiar with them. But once you've spent some time with 1, you'll never go back. Do you have any friends that would let you borrow theirs for awhile before you decide? I assume your casting and retrieving baits? |

No and though i call it my muskie rod it is really more for the pricier lures id have a problem loosing like a pikee booyah spinnerbait
Im also looking to swap out my current rods with made in usa rods and cashion was the perfect brand as i like to support brands that make all of their stuff in the us |

Location: NW WI | Well I guess all I can tell ya is that I'm very happy with my Casting Icon Swimbait model. Pretty sure in Cashions casting lineup that that's the Heaviest rod available. |

Too long unfortunately that being said after checking their catalog there were only 2 options to chose from
Icon inshore heavy action iPCHMFs
Core inshore medium heavy cM8437si
And its more so deciding which rods im going to get when i have enough
Also since my other rods setups are for bass,pike/ muskie should i discuss in another topic here or in the bass category |

Havent been able to use it in a while but mainly spoons & spinners and lures that are expensive and 1/2oz or larger

Location: NW WI | Well, another option to look into would be catfish rods, they got the tip to flick light baits and the backbone to handle giants and I think you'll save money too, money you can start putting aside for a casting setup next season or the following. Keep an eye on the forums buying and selling page as well. |

True though i was hoping cashion saltwater rods would fit that criteria as they are 100% made in usa and in a good price range
As for casting rods i doubt ill start to use them for several years if ever |
